Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2025 • Last Updated: September 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") regulate the engagement of electrical contractor services and website utilization with Duarte Electrical Services ("Contractor," "we," or "us"). By booking appointments, requesting estimates, or engaging our electrical technicians, you acknowledge and agree to these terms under California state law.
1. Professional Contractor Status
Duarte Electrical Services is a licensed C-10 Electrical Contractor licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB License #C10-1018511, Est. 2016), maintaining active surety bonding, commercial general liability coverage, and statutory workers' compensation insurance.
2. Quotations and Service Authorization
All on-site estimates are provided in writing detailing the scope of work, labor, and certified equipment prior to commencement. A binding agreement is instituted upon customer approval (verbal authorization for emergency containment or signed electronic proposal for scheduled projects). Any subsequent concealed property conditions requiring scope adjustments will be presented in writing before further work proceeds.
3. Municipal Permitting & Inspection Protocol
Projects involving electrical service modernization, subpanels, new high-voltage circuits, or dedicated Level 2 EVSE hardware require municipal building permits per California Electrical Code. Duarte Electrical Services prepares submittals, secures permits, coordinates utility isolations with Southern California Edison, and schedules city inspector walkthroughs.
4. 1-Year Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind the technical execution of our master electricians with a comprehensive 1-year labor and workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties on installed circuit breakers, smart panels, and charging equipment are transferred directly to the property owner.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon successful completion and verification of authorized electrical scope. We accept certified checks, ACH transfers, and major credit cards. Invoices remaining unpaid past 30 days are subject to interest pursuant to California Civil Code provisions.
